A Model's Secret to Soft, Moisturized Curls

Model/blogger/entrepreneur Chloë Chevalier has lived all over the world. Born in Burkina Faso, she studied fashion in Paris, and now calls Los Angeles home. On set at our latest shoot in L.A., she shared her secret to photo-worthy curls.

What advice do you have for looking great on camera?Lighting is your best friend for any photo shoot. I feel like if you have good lighting, you will look beautiful. That's what I like with LA: The lighting is always the best - I don't even need to put any filter on.

Have you always worn your hair curly?Believe it or not, when I was a teenager I was straightening my hair all the time. I didn't know how to style it. When I was in Paris at fashion school, I didn't have time to straighten my hair, so I would wash it, apply a leave-in, and just go to school. It was then I realized I actually have curls. So I thought, let's check online to see what kind of products I can use. And that's how I started my curly hair journey.

How do you typically style your curls?I've had to learn what works with my hair. Usually I'll wash my hair once, maximum twice a week. I'll try not to touch the curls too much during the week, so I can keep that definition. To refresh my curls in between, I put a small amount of the Featherlight Styling Cream on my hands and rub my palms together. I press the product into my hair to style it and make it look good. Now I love embracing my curls and being confident with my hair.
