Recreate These Red Carpet Ready Looks

Awards show season is wrapping up and we've fallen in love with endless red-carpet hair styles. From free-flowing curls to intricate updos, Hollywood's biggest names did not disappoint. Feeling inspired, we headed to the Ouidad flagship salon in New York City to recreate our favorite award show-ready looks at home with the help of curl expert, Jessica O'Brien.

The Chic Chignon

If soft and elegant is your vibe, this flirty updo is the perfect 'do for you. Starting with curls that are both defined and diffused, Jessica carefully pinned back the hair, gathering it into a low bun and securing tightly.

Tied Back with a Twist

Curls with a more coily texture can also join in on the updo fun with this street-to-chic style. To start, Jessica flat-twisted the hair across the hairline, cascading down to the nape of the neck. To ensure the edges were sleek and smooth, she used the Clear Control Pomade to tame flyaways and polish off the look.

The Fierce Faux-Hawk

Not only is this an edgy head-turner, but it's actually super simple to recreate. After washing and conditioning the hair, Jessica used the Curl Quencher Moisturizing Styling Gel and the Ouidad signature Rake And Shake method to bring out these ultra-defined curls.

After diffusing the hair, she slicked back each side with the Clear Control Pomade and added the Going Up! Volumizing Texture Spray to the back sections for added volume.
